The original recording/mixes of this album sound great. It's ont of the best sounding thrash records, hands down. Why Mustaine/Capitol even thought to remaster it in the first place i have no idea.

Anyway, the 'touch up' job that's been done on Rust In Peace is a bad one. Avoid, buy the original, pre-remastered version, it's a much better record. Really, it makes that much of a difference.

This album is brilliant.
Sometimes it rocks out, sometimes it's quiet. It has great dark songs and great 'nice' songs. Always well played, always challenging. One of the scarier records i've heard. Fripp is awesome.
Listen to it and you realise where Don Caballero and Sweep The Leg Johnny got their schtick from.
