Ruby in the Dust - Chick Lit Contemporary Romance by Julie Farrell
As someone who would not normally touch anything labeled as "Chick Lit" with a bargepole, Farrell's first novel is a very pleasant surprise.
A cleverly constructed story with complex characters and an intriguing plot, Ruby in the Dust offers far more than the label might suggest. With a fairly classic boy-meets-girl opening , you'd be forgiven for thinking it's just another - well - chick lit, but once you get a few more pages in, you start to appreciate an unexpected depth as well as some important underlying messages about how we might all live better, more fulfilling lives.

HTML & CSS: Design and Build Web Sites by Jon Duckett

This book was exactly what I needed.
Although I'd already picked up the basics of HTML & CSS, there were many gaps and so I found it useful to start again from scratch. But it's much more than a beginners' guide. The author leads you effortlessly from the basics to the very latest capabilities of these technologies so that by the time you're finished, you should be confident of achieving anything you want in terms of web layout and presentation.
