In Search of the Winning System by Peter May
5.0 out of 5 stars A good bet, 12 Feb 2014
Essential reading for anyone who follows the horses using a system-based approach.
This book will not tell you or show you how to win, but it will point you in the right direction and save you from making costly errors.
Peter May is probably the foremost name in the UK in this field and reading this you can see just how much time, patience and innovation he has invested in his work.
If you enjoy the 'Winning System', his ‘profile’ books will likely be of interest – these will help you to develop your own systems.

How many football journalists are there working in the UK - I'm sure the number runs easily into three figures. However, the only two quotes on the cover of this book both come from respected Times journalists, but the catch is the book was serialized in The Times. As to the volume itself, the authors have a few thought provoking ideas but it certainly fails to do what it says on the cover.
Footballs fans with open minds, who understand statistics, will find some interesting theories, but overall, their money would be better spent elsewhere.

Refreshing and honest - this went down like a glass of Carlsberg at the end of `Ice Cold in Alex'.
Part two is eagerly awaited.
