This book walks the reader through the (graphic) design process, introducing relevant principles and concepts along the way in a fashion that is both comprehensive and concise and so, despite the plethora of material introduced, does not overwhelm. All this is illustrated with great examples throughout.

'Design Thinking' makes for an excellent practical introduction to the process and principles of design, from initial brief to implementation; it is useful both as a reference work and point of departure for further, more specialised study. This disk - I guess "fusion" is still the category term for this sort of music - needs some getting used to. No opening tracks that grab you straight away. Instead, we slowly settle into the psychedelic mood which pervades the whole session. This mood is enhanced by the employment of some synth programming and various guitar effects. "Going Nowhere" and "In My Dream", the titles of the only two tracks with vocals, give the game away; both contain wonderfully airy, dreamy guitar-playing by Ford. The gorgeous Train Song shows Ford to be effective on the acoustic guitar too. All is underpinned by Colaiuta's solid and subtly imaginative drumming.
