Alex Polizzi's Little Black Book of Hotels by Alex Polizzi

Much as Alex writes in her introduction that she wants the book to be more than `hotel porn' it still is! No book featuring lovely hotels and hideaways, with great colour photography, is not going to be lust inducing. And this is a very nice selection of properties around the UK.

Knowing Alex's very high standards when it comes to service, facilitates (not to mention cleanliness) means that without exception you already know what you have here is a book of 52 places to stay that are not going to disappoint.

Get Off Your Arse by Brad Burton
Get Off Your Arse by Brad Burton
I'll be honest I was surprised at how good this book is.

Much as Brad likes to joke around (and I was `LOL' many times reading this book) all of the content is serious. Serious in that it tells it EXACTLY how it is: running your own business IS hard and you have to make it work. You really do have to get off your arse, but have a plan, ask for help, and do it for the right reasons.

There's some really valuable tips, advice and support right here in these pages.

If you read this book and don't get it, then best you go get a job...

For those of us who already use email for marketing and sales there are some great reminders and new ideas in the book to make it work better.

The case studies in particular I found really useful to see how in different businesses and situations email can be a real benefit and dramatically improve… Read more
