In My Own Words:
I was always a bookworm as a kid growing up in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. I've always loved science books, or science fiction when I was younger. I was always hungry for knowledge of the world outside my immediate realm, and became interested in physics, computing and astronomy as a teenager.

After doing a degree in Physics I now work in the computing industry which I love doing, and in latter years … Read more

NESCAFE Dolce Gusto Oblo by KRUPS Coffee Capsule M&hellip by Krups
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I already own a Bosch Tassimo so got one of these to compare the two.

First of all the Dolce Gusto Oblo is a lot smaller, maybe half the size of the Bosch. One problem with it is that it is so small you can't fit anything wider than a standard mug in it. We have some wide flat cappuccino cups that we use for the other machine that we couldn't use - for this one you'll need to get tall, thin coffee cups rather than short, wide ones. However if you only have a small kitchen this may be ideal for you as it's not that much bigger than a standard kettle and half the size of my Bosch machine.

This is also a machine where you have to put your own amounts of water in for each… Read more
Bosch TAS2002GB Tassimo T20 Hot Beverage Machine, &hellip by Bosch

The Bosch Tassimo I found to be generally easy to use and it makes the process of making coffee and other hot drinks very simple. The machine knows how much water to add to each capsule for standard strength, but you can top up with extra water if you wish.

Maintenance is relatively straightforward, although you seem to have to descale it quite a bit (every few weeks, and we mainly use it at weekends). It's quite a chunky device about three times the size of a kettle, so make sure you have room for it in your kitchen.

One problem I have with it is that sometimes the water doesn't come out evenly and it spills out of the edges of the machine, you can just about catch it… Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Collective Denial, 27 Jan 2014
This book annoyed me because in the introduction it describes Jim Morrison as a god. He wasn't, he was an common or garden alcoholic who messed up his life and died prematurely like legions of others. The book goes on to homologue in great detail his achievements in the small number of years where he was able to be productive in between drink and drug binges. It has to go into so much detail because Morrison's career was so short - in a normal biography there'd be at least another 30 years to write about before ill health or death curtailed the story.

So the authors are in denial about his life and they are also in denial about his death as they almost suggest that Jim Morrison… Read more
