Melissa & Doug Create-A-Craft Car and Train Bundle by Melissa & Doug
4.0 out of 5 stars Great crafts for kids, 1 Sep 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
These are excellent craft toys for young children. My son made the train version a couple of years ago when he was three (with adult supervision!), and now that we have this double set, he made the race car with much less help, and his three year old sister made the train with us.

The kits are very basic - a vehicle shape to paint and add wheels to, before putting on stickers to finish the effect. They're chunky though, and come with everything you need to spend a happy hour building and painting. I'd recommend these for parents of younger children, who are willing to sit down and spend the time making together. I feel like older children might be disappointed by the end results,… Read more
Disney Planes Fire and Rescue Blastin Dusty Toy by Disney
3.0 out of 5 stars Massive!, 1 Sep 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The first thing that struck us when we opened this toy was its size - this is a really big plane, which goes down well with younger children, even if it presents a bit of a handful. We're not massive fans of the Cars or Planes movies in our house, but the toys themselves are more welcome, being colourful, robust and expressive.

The blue balls of water and red plastic fires are a little counterintuitive (because water doesn't normally come as a plastic ball!), but scooping up the balls with the plane and using them to shoot down the targets is fun and easy. A big trigger handle on the top of the plan shoots the balls and sets of sound effects, which I found annoying quite quickly,… Read more
Melissa & Doug Peel and Press Stained Glass Unders&hellip by Melissa & Doug
4.0 out of 5 stars A great craft gift, 30 Aug 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a surprisingly fun art set, like stained glass paint-by-numbers, but with stickers. Line up the outline against a page of numbers to show where the transparent stickers need to go, and begin sorting through the stickers to work out which goes where. It sounds very simple, but there are enough different stickers that this is a craft activity that will take a parent and child about an hour to complete.

The end result is very pleasing, for hanging in a window or somewhere it will catch the light. It's a bit fiddly for younger children, but with a little help they'll feel a real sense of accomplishment, and have a great lasting creation to show for it.
