I am the father of a 4 month old boy who has had been lucky enough to be handed down boxes full of baby toys from his older brothers. Some have been easy for him to grip and rattle and chew, others have been a source of frustration for him; to the degree of not even looking in their direction any longer. But he has always enjoyed playing with bits of scrap paper. While out with him one afternoon I walked into a toy shop my wife has mentioned. As we looked around I realized that the shop assistant was watching me and i decided to choose a small trinket for the boy before leaving. I found that this book was a lucid and objective account of history, which puts the pieces of the jigsaw together and in the right context. Parents should ensure that their children read this book after reading it themselves.
