Love at First Stitch: Demystifying Dressmaking by Tilly Walnes
I really like this book, but with some reservations.

Good points:
The instructions are written clearly and in a very modern chatty and encouraging way.

Less liked point:
The full size patterns at the back are printed in such a way that they overlap each other and also printed on both sides of the paper. This means, for instance with the PJ pattern, that I had to trace off the pattern and stick a few pieces of paper together in order to arrive at a useable pattern. This all took quite a long time. Scrap Happy Quilting: 12 Projects from Wall Hangin&hellip by Annie's
The picture on the cover was enough to spark my interest in this book, so rich and sumptuous looking!
The book has 11 projects, ranging from a "Ticker Tape Elephant Wallhanging," to full bed size quilts and is aimed at all ability levels. the expected level is clearly stated for each project and instructions seem clear and well written.
Suggestions are given throughout for using up fabrics from your stash collection and who doesn't have one of those?
Add to that the fact that full size patterns are included and you have a great book. I'm very pleased with this latest addition to my collection and highly recommend it to quilters of all abilities.

TeckNet@ Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Leather Cover/Ca&hellip by TeckNet
5.0 out of 5 stars Essential piece of kit, 28 July 2011
The more I see these wonderful Kindles, the more I am convinced that they really need a cover. Kindles are fantastic, but their screens could easily get damaged if left unprotected. My Kindle has become such an important part of my life that I take it everywhere with me in my handbag. But I carry lots of other stuff too! My new cover is perfect as it offers protection in a stylish way. The TeckNet cover is attractive, does the job and came at a very affordable price. There's nothing I don't like about it and would recommend it to any Kindle owner.
