The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman
Reading the synopsis of the book I was excited to delve in to the past, and immerse myself in days gone by in a rich and exciting setting. When I started reading, it became evident I was about to be disappointed.

While the history is intriguing, after a while it begins to grate. It's not written with any passion or excitement, it's like the authors done her research, and is reading it back to you. 4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic new series, 18 April 2014
You know how you have those days when you wish you could get all the guys? Cue mysterious new kid showing… Read more

Our leading lady is incredibly strong, and doesn't take crap from anyone. The fact that her dreams where put aside while she raised her child and took over the family business endeared her to me straight away. That made her very real to me, and I was able to connect with her on that level even though I had nothing in common with her. Everyone knows I love leading ladies who aren't perfect, and Norah falls right in to that category.

Our leading man was the typical perfect man, but I can overlook the cliche's due to the fact the… Read more
