A sample of a few short chapters was enough to get me to buy this book. I was hooked very early on. The author takes us on a journey of despair, hope, tragedy and the quest for survival in impossible conditions.

You could be forgiven for assuming from the title that this story was some techno-babble infused sci-fi fest, but in truth it is much more a story of near-primitive survival in a place where technology has, for almost irrelevant reasons, completely failed. It took 2-3 attempts before I managed to stick the suction pad to my windscreen properly, and in a comfortable position, but now that it's in the right place it sticks perfectly and holds my iPhone securely. The holder rotates when you want it to, but is both stable and robust enough that it you don't have to keep making adjustments.

My only minor complaint, very minor, is that there are no instructions. It's simple enough that you don't exactly need them, but for instance it dose comes with some sort of sticky pad, which I'm guessing you're meant to use if the suction pad doesn't work. This is a pointless product. The air flow is pathetic. It displaces more air when it is thrown than when it is plugged in. Don't buy it.
