5.0 out of 5 stars A charming summer read, 20 July 2014
The Island of Mull is a lovely setting for a romance novel and the author does a good job of making us understand why Amy is so drawn to life here. The charming Sandy McFarlane shakes up Amy's peaceful escape in more ways than one and the tension and romance between the two is drawn well. I enjoyed the contrast between Amy's city life and the more old fashioned traditions of the island.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intrigue and Romance, 23 May 2011
An intriguing tale of mystery and romance, with well drawn characters transporting the reader into Regency England. Lydia Hetherington is an engaging heroine; an appealing mix of naivety and stubborn determination to be seen as an equal to her male counterparts in a repressive society. These character traits land her in some amusing and dangerous situations, much to the exasperation and amusement of the elusive and very charming Lord Sheldon. The growing attraction between the two keeps the reader hooked and I thoroughly enjoyed escaping to a time I had little prior knowledge of. Well worth a read!
