Inception (Two-Disc Special Edition) [DVD] [2010] <b>DVD</b> ~ Leonardo DiCaprio
An enthralling, captivating piece of film that really showcases Nolan's talent and ability. I've always loved Christopher Nolan's work and Inception is by far my favourite as it has a brilliant, thought-provoking script and superb techniques, making it my favourite of 2010. It really takes a mature viewer to keep up with exactly what's going on but it's well worth it, as the action is brilliant.

My one complaint is I found Leonardo DiCaprio's performance a little dry and lacklustre, which had the benefit of giving the supporting actors a chance to step up to the plate. Admittedly, Dom Cobb's story soon gets old and you turn your attention to the other characters, who definitely… Read more

Warrior [DVD] DVD ~ Tom Hardy
5.0 out of 5 stars Hardy Steals the Show, 26 Sep 2012
In my opinion, the most underrated film of 2011. Warrior deserved so much more attention than what it got last year, probably due to The Fighter coming out at a similar time.

The ending is designed to make fully grown men weep like teenage girls after a bad break up and it does exactly that, even if it was a little predictable.

Tom Hardy really steals the show. Sure, you want to know about Brendan (Joel Edgerton) and the back story, but watching Hardy in the cage is like… Read more

This movie is easily among the best films I've ever watched. A perfect mix of action and drama, making it one of the few superhero movies out there that's all about the story, rather than the fighting. The returning cast (Bale, Freeman, Oldman, Caine)have really lived up to the incredibly high standards set by the Dark Knight but the new additions really take your breath away. Tom Hardy's performance is captivating, even if he can only convey emotion through his eyes and body language for 99% of the film. Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard are brilliant additions too.

This movie is everything you'd expect from the wonderful Christopher Nolan and then some… Read more
