2.0 out of 5 stars So so predictable, 8 April 2013
I was going to give this one star but it got slightly better by the end. Have loved some of the previous novels by this author but couldn't wait to finish this. I didn't feel anything for any of the characters, it was so predictable you knew the ending very early on. The affair which I suppose was meant to shock was made obvious all along I thought.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book, 4 Jun 2009
I've read all Karin Slaughter books and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. This is very different from her Grant County series but just as good in my opinion. I read it in about 3 days and could hardly put it down, I hope she does more with Will and Faith in as really liked both characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed, 19 Sep 2008
I was lent this book and glanced at the cover thinking it was more "chick-lit". I picked it up the other night to glance through it and ended up reading some and was hooked. Loved the family, loved the friends, I found it genuinely funny, unlike some books that try so hard to be funny they end up really not being. Made me cry when they first visited the orphanage and really didnt want to reach the end.
