I have read this book a number of times and find it very informative on most, if not all, of the techniques used by the modern and ancient potters of Japan. It sheds light on the history of Japanese ceramics and the influences on it. The range of making techniques from small pinch pots to large coil thrown pots is inspiring. The glazing and decorating chapters give some recipe’s used by the Japanese and Korean’s potters and is really informative. There are techniques and result that have been explained well.
