QSO continues to rip up, remix, and reinvent. Quantic is the original funk-soul brother and Pushin' On certainly doesn't fail to continue on from where Stampede had left off. I think we're fortunate to have an institution such as the D&Ad who showcase the design high-lights on a yearly basis with a more broader and wider scope than that of its American counterparts.
Like wine, each decade has good and bad years, but 2002's book houses a good selection of work in all areas of design.
In my opinion D&Ad2003 is one of the better design books. Well conceived, not a throw-away item and is a fine addition to any library or book collection. My only comment would be the costly price, but I suppose you could argue most of the money goes into the fine job of printing and finishing. Good ideas, beautifully presented – what more could you ask for?
