I did enjoy this book but there were times when it felt like I was reading a history thesis. INteresting, neverhteless.

I was warned it would be a bit gory - and it was - but not enough to stop me reading this mix of myth, legend and thriller. I look forward to reasing the next one

I haven't read this author before and I wasn't sure it was for me when I read the first two chapters. It looked like it was going to be a standard bad guy/good guy convergence story.
I am so glad I read on - this was one of the best books I have read in a long time - well plotted, well paced, hardly any typos (bearing in mind it was a free download) and fun to read.
Thrillers with humour that works are like hen's teeth, and this book is like indulging in a multiple course banquet with the courses of detective work interspersed with the sorbet of comments on situations and life in general.
