A tedious long winded story, nothing like the TV series. It has not travelled well.

A Clash of Kings (Reissue) (A Song of Ice and Fire&hellip by George R. R. Martin
This is the second book in this historical fantasy and picks up the events that left you hanging on in the first book. By now the names and the different families are becoming familiar and you are keen to discover how this power battle and dirty tricks package will work out. Not as hard to read as the first book but again the map is useful. Here the Dragon superstitions become alive as the scene changes and you see the battle for power intesify, and the children grow up.
