I read quite a few reviews about this phone, many of which commented on how slow it is. As someone who's owned half a dozen android phones, all of them relatively cheap, I thought that these were comments from people whose expectations were too high or who didn't know what they were doing. It looked good, was cheap and so I went for it.
Well, I've been punished for my know-it-all attitude, haven't I? At first the phone was merely sluggish - only to be expected with a low-end smartphone. But after a couple of months it's become a downright menace. Sometimes it grinds to a halt so badly the only way to sort it out seems to be to switch it on and off. It might not sound much but it really makes a huge difference, especially when browsing the web or using google maps etc. It struggles a bit in bright sunlight, but no more than any other smartphone I've used.
The other big plus is the 1GHz processor. It's only single core but, again, most phones at this level are using 800 or even 600 MHz processors. As a… Read more
