JavaScript Patterns by Stoyan Stefanov
JavaScript Patterns by Stoyan Stefanov
First I have to mention that this book is NOT for beginners! The author adresses advanced JavaScript topics and goes deeper in about what's going on behind the scenes of your JavaScript code. What do you create behind the scenes when you create an empty object or function. How to write maintainable and fast code, what is currying, the module pattern, chaining (like the jQuery library), ... After reading JavaScript: the definitive guide and John Resig's Pro JavaScript techniques, this is the perfect book in line!

Thanks Stoyan!

After reading JavaScript: The Definitive Guide and Learning jQuery 1.3, Pro JavaScript Techniques was exactly what I needed. John Resig guides you through the more professional JavaScript techniques and standards, combined with great tools for debugging and testing.

Can't wait for his new release: JavaScript Ninja! (July 1, 2011)

Codeigniter 1.7 Professional Development by Adam Griffith
I enjoyed reading and learning this book. It is for me the best book to get started with CodeIgniter along with the user guide on the CodeIgniter website.

I do miss a book with advanced techniques using CodeIgniter, so if anybody can give me a hint?
