Berghaus Men's RG1 Jacket Berghaus
No complaints about this jacket for the price, keeps you dry in town when in fairly heavy rain and keeps most of the wind away. It's not very breathable compared to more expensive goretex jackets so not great in warmer weather, but this also makes it very windproof and therefore good for waiting for the bus or cycling in the city in windy winter weather. If you are a serious outdoor type that goes up steep mountains in heavy rain and snow then this won't be for you, but for most people who just need an affordable and good quality rain jacket for commuting to work or walking around town in cold weather, this does the job very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good, 25 Oct 2012
Used this spray on an old Berghuas jacket and an even older Karrimor jacket (both are not goretex) and seems to have revived their waterproofing that has lasted quite a while so far even with daily use for the Berghaus jacket. Does not smell very good when you first spray your waterproofs but that soon goes away.

Bought the non-goretex version from Germany to replace an older pair of extra wide boots from Meindl. Very comfortable with excellent cork insoles, and with regular cleaning and when Meindl Sportwax or Nikwax is applied there is absolutely no need for goretex, which only makes the boots feel hot and sweaty even in winter. Not a mountaineering boot but perfect for low level hikes and for walking around town in winter.
