Having read the Harry Potter books I was curious to know what she would do next. I was blown away by this book. Brilliantly drawn characters who weave into each others lives and have small, and sometimes huge impacts upon each other. It's a book of small time politics, of haves and have nots but mostly it's about people. It's about people in all forms.

I was gripped by all the stories. At times it was harsh and others funny. This is a gem of a book. I loved it. I am now at the horrible place where you get when you finish a really absorbing book, looking at a list of titles and saying "Follow that!"

I read and loved all of his books before the Young Bond series.Young Bond I wasn't that keen on but his earlier stuff is incredibly full on. This is much more like his earlier stuff. I loved every page of it. The pages just shot by. I read it very quickly, staying up late to find out what happend next. I know this is aimed at teens but don't let that put you off. This is excellent and I can not wait for the next installment (and I am an old duffer).
