What an absolute stunner of a live record. Up there with all the best live rock albums.Great sound & energy throughout.
Of course you get Hysteria in its entirety played to perfection with the guitars a bit grittier to denote it is all live. For me having much of High N Dry & tracks from Pyromania in the set is a real bonus. High N Dry is my favourite Leppard album & you get the whole of the original side 1 plus a couple more. This is what Leppard were really about before thay went too technical.Raw with heavier guitars a real wall of noise. Pyromania was always a close second & is represented by 3 tracks. Their debut album has a couple of tracks with Wasted nice & heavy a real… Read more

This is not Thin Lizzy. It is however an album hugely influenced by Lizzy.Scott Gorham was 1/4 of the classic Lizzy line up so has every right to be part of their legacy. He has a distinctive guitar sound which of course is evident throughout. I have always liked Ricky Warwick and his vocals sound the same as he has always sounded. Maybe the odd phrasing is similar to Phil Lynott as is the way some lines are delivered. There is some of the twin and harmony guitar play that Lizzy made their own evident throughout. Damon Johnson supplys plenty of blistering guitar play.Mendozo and Degrasso are both solid giving a platform for the rest of the band to perform. The music far exceeded my… Read more
Sacrifice ~ Saxon
Sacrifice ~ Saxon
I bought Saxons first album back in1979.They have continued to produce great rock music with the longest period between albums being three years.Twenty top quality albums never resting on their laurels. The legacy continues with Sacrifice. It amazes me how the band have remained motivated and continued to produce such high quality music. If you already love Saxon you will buy this album. If you used to like them reintroduce yourself to the band.If by some strange chance you love rock/ metal but have no Saxon albums start here.Powerful music, great riffs,& Biff's unmistakable vocals. Songs about shipbuilding, steel works (You can smell the molten metal.)& the Terracotta army amongst many… Read more
