Dead Men Should Know Better by Dominic Canty
Dead Men Should Know Better by Dominic Canty
This book is a fun romp through various well-described locations, following our hapless hero, Bristo Trabant, as he does about as well as a secret agent as any of us would. Lots of laugh out loud moments, making this an ideal beach read (or for those lovely packed summer commuter trains) although the other people around will glare at you for laughing so much! It has a talking shark too, what's not to like?

'Stretching it' is a wonderful story of an underdog who bites back and is very witty with some sharp character descriptions. I lived in Leeds for 5 or 6 years so I enjoyed the descriptions of different areas of the city. However, you don't need to have been to Yorkshire to enjoy it, as the themes of disappointment in love, annoying relations and being sat upon in the work place are pretty universal. Recommended for entertaining beach reading. It would be great for commuting too, as long as you don't mind people tutting at you every time you laugh out loud!

This is a very handy gadget to speed up preparation of a single bottle when the baby is screaming for food! My tip is to use it with an oven glove as the little bottle gets hot, also your hand could slip. Simply keep in fridge and boil all the components in a big pan once a week to keep it fresh.
