Maas opens this tomb with an action scene and a murder. The main character and the one carrying out the murder is a young lady. This is an action book for readers wanting pace, twists and discovery. Mass has crafted a well written book, with a subtle turn of phrase that shimmers.

I love the characters in this book and how they relate to each other, they are fleshed out and engaging. And Celaena and her best friend's relationship is so realistic, they fight and talk and laugh.

Oh god! This book is not a book but another world. A world that I was invited to and now it's in my soul. And all this form a début author? There were no characters in this book, it was occupied by people. These people let me join them at the circus, I am now a rÍveur.

The Doll's House is difficult to put it down. It is gripping, thrilling yet hopeful. I adore the writers narrative and how different each character is. I know how difficult that is to achieve and it makes me want to reread the book again to soak it up.

The character of Dr Kate Pearson is more developed and the use of her background to crack open a case is a touch of class.

I love how the title of the book is so elusive and yet it manages to be so apt to the plot of the book. It's slick and takes a talented writer to bring out all the nuances of the book and it's world.
