The Incredible Spice Men by Cyrus Todiwala
These lads, along with Atul Kochhar, have opened my eyes to the possibilities of spices, heat and new flavours. The BBC Two programme that accompanied this book was a treat. It was a bit cheesy and they played up to the camera of course, but it was the first episode that prompted me to buy the book. I've thoroughly enjoyed every recipe I've made so far and I can't wait to try more.

Now, two gripes I have with the recipes I've tried are that the oven temperatures and the cooking times were way out. This book is beautifully produced and is packed with many previously unpublished photos. I've never seen so many photos of the area around the bridge before. I never knew they even existed. DvB has done much research here, it's obvious and his attention to detail is fantastic. Fans of the subject will find this a great addition to their collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars You MUST be Joking?, 12 Dec 2003
I bought the Limited Edition CD the day it was released. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy with it. In fact it's a great CD and the accoustic 2nd disc is a must for fans.
However, two years on, and this 'Limited Edition' CD is still available! Plus, an extra track [Pictures of you] has since been added, yet the packaging is still the same!
Despite this obvious 'cash-in' just make sure your CD has the extra track.
