This book is well researched and well written. I liked it especially because it treats today's Kenya as well as the past. The author shows, without ever naming or blaming anybody just how the country has declined, thanks to corruption and lack of will in government. She also develops the character of Solomon brilliantly, again 'showing' how the people are not responsible for their gross lack of prosperity and loss of wildlife. A 'must read' for anybody and everybody who loves Kenya as it is and as it was. A work of love.
