A terrific debut novel from Nicola White. Rather than being a demanding page turner, the reader is drawn inexorably into the story - a complex web of characters and connections. Carefully observed, the story weaves together a mix of youthful promise and troubled pasts... convent life, remote rural Ireland. Swan, the quiet, likeable detective charged with bringing it all together is surely due another run out in White's follow up novel? Loved it!
