1.0 out of 5 stars Embarassing spin-off, 23 Sep 2008
I didn't know anything about this until I chanced upon the first episode on the TV a few months back. Oh how I cringed!

I recently got into Spooks with it's fast pace, modern themes and relatable characters. But Code 9 is like a cheap teenage version. Young people already watch Spooks (!)- you don't have to turn it into poorly acted, far-fetched nonsense.. give us a bit of credit!

Maybe if the original Spooks hadn't existed, I would have given this a two star for originality (haha). But it doesn't even touch Spooks and I feel embarassed for the production company and offended that they would offload their supposed money making spin off crap onto us!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fresh and gripping, 18 July 2007
With all these different crime and forensic dramas out there, it's easy to by-pass certain productions thinking it's just more of the same. However, I find WItB to be quite fantastic! The story lines always keep me guessing and there are often little twists to throw me off. The psychological-profiling perspective is rather fresh and wonderfully played by Robson Green.

In this series Simone Lahbib has replaced Hermoine Norris, and does an esquisite job- much like her predecessor. The new character brings a whole new dynamic to the show.

Bottom line- I love it and I marvel at Val McDermid's ability to conjure up these imaginative, yet very real, stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, funny, moving, 30 Oct 2006
I am such a huge fan, so is my mother and also my younger sister. This is a timeless drama portraying a headstrong female doctor trying to change the prejudice opinions of the society of the day (in time of the cowboys and indians, as it were).

The cast is phenomenal and the storylines whether moving, challenging or funny, are always entertaining.

Jane Seymour plays Dr Michaela Quinn, an upper class female doctor, who moves from the busy city of Boston to the humble town of Colorado springs. She has daily battles against sexism, racism and every other kind of -ism you can come across!

Dr Mike is also struggling to raise 3 children, that she promised to… Read more
