5.0 out of 5 stars 3's a charm!, 6 July 2014
This is another compelling read by Graham Masterton! I'd read the first two in the series and this one is just as good. As usual it's fairly gory but the plot is really well thought out and there is a nice balance with the private life of detective Katie Maguire who is investigating a series of horrific murders in the seedy world of underage sex slaves. I love the authentic backdrop of Cork city and local dialect. The books are so good in this series that you end up reading them really quickly and then you want another right away!
Predator (Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus Crime Thri&hellip by Faye Kellerman
If you usually read the Peter Decker/Rina books you will enjoy this one also. It isn't as gripping as some of the earlier books in this series but it's fairly enjoyable. The story centres mainly on Gabe (the fostered son) and his love life which isn't too riveting and a story about the murder of an old man who kept a tiger and other exotic pets and it does drag on a little. The plot is very neatly tied up at the end but you should only read this if you've read the whole series and feel compelled not to miss out on one. Hopefully the next will have a bit more intrigue and a few less wild animals!

A lovely book, I got it to read with my teenage students & they enjoyed every moment of it. It's a story about hope and belief in the impossible. It's a combination of gritty reality and absolute fantasy.
