As the title says, this is an anthology of stories pivoting around monsters from Lovecraft. The style varies considerably – all sorts of genres are crossed into, including steampunk, sci-fi and western. Some are quite dark and brooding, some action orientated, some quite light, even funny, and some play about with interesting ideas (‘Bulldozer’ a western, and ‘Love is Forbidden’ particularly come to mind).

For the Lovecraft geek in me, it was quite rewarding recognising a monster – it’s not always obvious. I liked the variety of styles and length, as I prefer anthologies to be diverse, though I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. A few of the stories are quite short, though I… Read more

This is a resource management game for two people, based around livestock farming. The farmer who has built up the most stuff -- livestock, fields, buildings and building materials -- by the end wins. The catch is that you only have a limited number of turns, and are both competing for limited resources during each turn.

There is no luck involved really, but every game is different as the players react to each other's moves, try out new strategies, and try to plan ahead. I've updated this review as I've used it for a while now.

The tablet is the right size for my drawing projects-comics and the like. I'd considered larger, but didn't see the point when the resolution is no better, and you can always zoom in on things.

Looks nice, and the pen has a good feel, and comes with 9 spare nibs, a quality case and this cool thing that looks like an old fashioned inkwell.

The pen is accurate, and has a nice feel across the surface -- kind of like a heavy graphite pencil over smooth layout paper.
