...but the rest of the album is quite definitely alive and kicking!
This is a brash and noisy album (as mentioned elsewhere) but unfortunately that results in the breadth of material being quite thin. However, I do believe it to contain some of Morrissey's best material this millennium and is certainly a lot more palatable than the boring Ringleader Of The Tormentors.
P.S. They really shouldn't have chosen Throwing My Arms Around Paris as the lead single as it's Morrissey-By-Numbers and a poor indication of the rest of the album.

Oh, boy! How can U2 claim to be reinventing rock n roll when this song sounds like the worst case of writer's block ever put to record! Or maybe it's just a coincidence that the melody bears an uncanny resemblance to Elvis Costello's Pump It Up??? Whatever, the song is truly pathetic and fills me full of dread with what they're gonna follow it up with!

The only downsides I've found are that it's written for the American market and thus not entirely relevant (in terms of brand names etc) to us Brits and, like Moonwatcher indicated, a few instructional pictures wouldn't have gone amiss either. But, all in all, I would recommend this to any transgendered… Read more
