An excellent Dr Who spin off tale, serving partially as a prequel to the recent Christmas Special. Read by Dan Starkey (Strax in the programme), it sees Vastra, Jenny and Strax investigating the murky, wintry Victorian world that fits Dr Who so well.

A twisted little tale this,exploring two middle-aged misfits who find each other and embark on their first holiday together. Both haunted by their past, they find solace in each other until an accident happens...then they seem to get the taste for killing.

But the murders aside, this is a creepy little tale of how little we know each other as a society. The killer in all of us, the kiler next door, is examined in a comedic, yet uncomfortably truthful way.

Excellent bitter/sweet performances from the cast set amongst the rolling English countryside make this a film that will send chills down your spine every time you realise how little you know about other people.

Had to sit through this awful film with year 1 and year 2 classes. They didn't laugh once, most nearly fell asleep. Those that managed to make ith through called it childish.

Terrible Euro animation, poorly dubbed and with a story inferior to anything the kids could write themselves.

Avoid like the plague.
