Vampire #1 a Hunger Like Fire (Vampire the Requiem&hellip by White Wolf

This book serves its purpose.
It introduces the reader, not only to the vampire lifestyle, as we see what's it like from the eyes of a newly-made Vampire, but it introduces the reader to the most important characters in the Requiem storyline, whatever it may be.
That leaves no room for any major action in the story, and it gets confusing to see the intrigue through the eyes of the different characters: you get to a point where you don't know who's thinking, saying or doing what.
I hope this Requiem series ends with a bang, because it sure doesn't start with one...

I just couldn't put this book down before the end. It's like you're watching an episode on TV, you get caught in the story and you feel you're there. Collins captures the spirit of the TV show to its minor details. Simple and fast reading, easy understanding, all in all, a fantastic start to the CSI novelization series. Buy it, you won't regret it!
