Bought for my Mother, 73 years young, as a very reluctant upgrade from her ancient Nokia.
The menu is very easy and intuitive, more like the older Nokia than the overly confusing menus of today's smartphones.
Signal/reception is great and it does have the option to switch between the different network modes (3g, gprs, GSM). We leave it on GSM as Mum just uses it for calls and texts, she has need for data or picture messaging yet, so the battery lasts for ages.
The charging base is fiddly so we don't use it, we just use the included micro usb which plugs directly into the phone.
