I don't need 3D or smart TV just PS3/blu-ray, tablet and USB connectivity. Plasma picture quality still beats any TFT/LED in the same price bracket with deep contrast and rich colors that shine with especially with blu-ray. It's also more forgiving with lower quality sources if you turn the sharpness down which is more I can say for some LCD's that have that horrible frame rate upscaler to hide their shortcomings. The picture options are more extensive that any other set I've owned and there are several presets so you can fine tune it for games, DVD, TV blu-ray ect. Awesome boss and set design with a more realistic edge then the comic looking GoW3 also great sound design had me ears ringing but sadly these are the only redeeming points of this version.
Gameplay wise I couldn't help feel Kratos has been speeded up but also dumbed down even with the extra moves. My old Gow playing methods were out of the window and the new throwing moves made it almost too easy to get through any sticky situation but the one major downfall of the game was for me is that you have to have certain heavy weapons upgraded to get past certain points namely the Trails of Archimedes which totally relies on slo-moing enemies with Amulet of Uroborus rather than any… Read more
This latest release from the dynamic duo points more towards their Quaristice sound but feels a lot more developed, a whopping 2hrs 32secs of mind bending digital manipulation and intense arrangements will keep any fan or electronic experimental affectionado more than engaged for a while. Although it holds no big surprises Exai is a natural evolution of Autechre's sound and proves yet again that the lads are still on top of their game.
