Ready Player One is one of those books that should be read by a lot more people than actually will. A lot will be put off reading it by thinking that it will be incredibly nerdy and to a certain extent it is. However, the story as a whole, ignoring the computer geekiness of it all, is fantastic.

The basic plot is that a famous computer software designer and creator of the OASIS, (a virtual reality world that most of the world uses), has died and left a series of complex puzzles to solve. Dystance:  Winter's Rising by M.R. Tufo
Oooooh, this is a tricky one. I was really looking forward to reading this book and even pre-ordered it. I am a fan of Mark Tufo’s work and the news of him breaking into a different genre was great. So I finally finished the rather large book I was in the middle of and got started.

It starts off really well by introducing the main characters and the life they live. There are various clans of people and they breed people to send off to fight against each other. It initially seems as though it is too heavily influenced by The Hunger Games and Divergent scenarios but does actually evolve into its own story. Kamikaze Kangaroos and That Bear Ate My Pants are both fantastic. Kangaroos is actually the third book but never mind. Don’t Need The Whole Dog is just as funny. Tony continues to prove his idiocy with various misadventures. But what a loveable idiot he is though. You can’t help but like him. I don’t think he’s got any badness in him at all.
