Watercolour Tips & Tricks: Over 70 Essential Techn&hellip by Zoltan Szabo
Some very useful techniques here and some clever ways of producing particular effects - snow scenes for example, falling snow etc. Zoltan Szabo also taught Sterling Edwards who has produced some good instructional videos on youtube if you want an idea of what's on offer here. The book also has some walk-throughs which are both challenging and helpful in showing you the various stages of completing a painting. The book is full colour and there is a genuine attempt to pass on real expertise here and to help the beginner understand both the "basic" techniques and some more advanced concepts. A gem of a book on watercolour painting.

Great little compartments for holding pure colours. Deeper, larger sections for mixing up washes. Comfortable thumb-hole too! Does the trick and very good value. I use it for watercolours and it is perfect for this medium, in my opinion.

Great value watercolour paper. Being 300gsm, it still buckles slightly when applying washes so would need stretching if desperate to avoid this (or buy heavier paper!).
