5.0 out of 5 stars I just love Coco!, 7 Sep 2014
Coco Pinchard is one of the funniest characters in current fiction. If you want a really entertaining fun story then read any of the books featuring her. This latest is just as enjoyable as the others. The story of Coco's pregnancy is typically hilarious. The characters are all totally mad yet somehow believable. Ethel the ex mother in law is particularly funny. Really hope there will be more books featuring Coco and her mad family and friends!
We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler
I have to say I was disappointed with this book. I was really looking forward to it having read rave reviews in various places. But to be honest, I couldn't get into the story. I managed to avoid the twist but even that didn't add to its appeal. I did finish it - eventually - but just didn't engage with the characters at all. Don't like to leave negative reviews but can't get too enthusiastic about this book.

I absolutely loved The Atlas of Us! Across continents we hear the complicated love story of Claire and Milo. Theirs is one of two main storylines, the other being Louise's search for her mother who is missing after the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004. It's novel with lots of twists and turns, not your average love story. So many complications, secrets and surprises. The characters are so well written you really feel for them and all the difficulties they encounter, not least the horror of the tsunami and its aftermath. Even in the epilogue there are unexpected revelations yet all are completely believable. I will look forward to reading more by Tracy Buchanan.
