The Challenger Spirit: Organisations That Disturb &hellip by Khurshed Dehnugara
This book demands to be read. It is testament to the fact that to bring about real change we must be brave enough to disturb the equilibrium and challenge the status quo. It evidences that knowing what you are doing doesn't mean you are going to achieve your objectives and certainly doesn't take you to the next level. Even if this book just triggers that process in you or your organisation, it could be the start of a seismic shift. If you believe the status quo is sufficient for you, don't read this book, because it will be an uncomfortable read. If you want to be an instrument for positive change, this book has got to be your first step.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, gripping read!, 30 April 2011
Awesome book! The plot twists and turns with new surprises all the way, and the reader is kept in suspense until the very end. Even though they are fantastic, the characters and plot are believable, intelligent and witty and the background setting is intriguing. I made the mistake of starting this book over the weekend. This was a mistake because I could not put the book down and my family will never forgive me. This is the first of Felix Riley's books and the plot just gripped me right from the start (instead of being one of those books that you have to `get into' first). I've laughed loads, recoiled once, metaphorically punched the air once (he so needed it) and been surprised at least… Read more

This is a really simple, concise book that gives you a great understanding of the key philosophies of Buddhism. If you just want to get some background on the faith, it's perfect - says it all in plain English, takes you completely to the basics, flows well and links everything together. If you are thinking of following the faith and want to get some insight and context before you take the plunge - or maybe you've already taken the plunge and are very quickly confused by the new concepts - then this too is the book for you. From here you can develop your understanding, but at least you'll know what you want to understand if you read this first.
