5.0 out of 5 stars Pooler - Pooler - Pooler!, 18 April 2014
As a West Mon boy I grew up watching Pooler on the Bank in the halcyon days of the late 70's and 80's. I found the book very poignant and quite touching as it brought back happy childhood memories of people that I knew, both players and school masters, and some of the great matches I watched at the Park. However, over and above the misty-eyed feeling it gave me, the real triumph of the book is its erudite and compelling analysis of the profound state of chaos that professionalism and regionalisation has had in Wales, particularly the eastern valleys. Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me The Cure MP3 Download
It's been 24 years since I last listened to this under-rated Cure album. I bought it on impulse expecting it to sound rather dated by modern standards. True, the production is definitely 80's, but the arrangements and funky guitar effects still sound fresh and original and Bob Smith's howling vocal still sounds tongue-in-cheek. It doesn't quite hit the heights of 17 Seconds, Faith, Pornography, or Disintegration, but is still a cut above its contemporaries.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for the city, 18 Aug 2013
Naming these tyres "City Jet" undersells there talents. I bought these tyres to equip my MTB for an ascent of the Col du Tourmalet (granny ring essential!) last month. The tyres were superb, very low rolling resistance which helped on the way up and very secure in corners when descending at speed. Highly recommended particularly at higher pressures, so best to use a track pump.
