Martin Clapton's Choice Acoustic Guitar Strings -&hellip by Martin
5.0 out of 5 stars great strings, 8 Nov 2013
These are great affordable strings and I really love the tone of them. I had previously purchased the same brand but slightly softer ones and after a couple of days they actually snapped during play... so I went back on amazon and decided to go for the medium ones and they appear to be doing the job just fine, they're a little bit more sturdy (but not so much that the strings become really difficult to play) and the tone is still fantastic (if you're wanting to play blues or indie rock styles).

You can really hear a warmth from the notes being played (unlike some other brands I've tried).

Well, what can I say about this the Amazon Artist Lounge EP... On first listen, it's a bit like hearing moby doing an UNPLUGGED set. the songs are stripped back to their core which if you're a fan of moby's acoustic guitar tracks you'll really love this EP. "A Case For Shame" is a fantastic slab of pure pop music greatness and the vocals are truly haunting.

"Tell Me" is another decent tune.

"The Perfect Life" is a really puzzling song to me - it's a bit too "I'm a hippy and everything is great" for me but it's cleverly… Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars more of the same, 1 Oct 2013
It's vintage Kings Of Leon - unless you've just crawled out from underneath a rock for the past ten years? you will already be familiar with their sound and this album is no different... it's simply more of the same in terms of overall sound just with slightly different arrangements.

That appears to be the problem for a lot of people - it's no longer refreshing or pushing the boundaries of innovation... it's just a bit too comfortable and dare i say it "predictable" that doesn't mean it's a bad record it's fairly decent if you accept it for what it is... and that is a return to the original sound of the first couple of albums.
