The Revenge of the Pink Panther by Frank Waldman
I know this film almost backwards - it was (in my opinion) one of the best Pink Panthers that Peter Sellers made. He had managed to craft the character of Clouseau perfectly by then and the script has plenty of his "Goon" legacy in it. I read it out to my family now and then who fall about laughing because they also love the film. Just wish other scripts had been published from the series.

Very reliable with good transfer speeds. I also liked the monitoring software that came with them. I then had two that suddenly died overnight. Being an electronics engineer my curiosity compelled me to open them up. The cover screw is hidden under the manufacture's label on the back. You then have to carefully prise them apart, the white top is clipped in several places.
The electrolytic capacitor that smooths out the internal DC supply had popped on both of my adapters ( bad batch ?). I changed both, (1500uF 6.3V) . Now they are working again after a factory reset using the software that came with them.

The receiver is reasonably sensitive, the modulation levels on transmit are barely adequate though. The biggest surprise is the spurious emissions on 2 metres !. Maybe I have a slightly faulty one, but emissions seen at 30MHz intervals above the transmit frequency, 30dBs down from fundamental. Spurious is unstable and disappears within 2 secs. The example I have wouldn't pass the CE Radio standards on VHF. No such problems on 70cms though. The FM (broadcast) receiver function is handy - for those who are struggling to access it (or… Read more
