This a beautiful piece of work, the artwork is masterful and coupled with a wonderful, moving story. The Red Tree is classed as a childrens book, and while I can see how it would appeal to children, I think the meaning of the story is something most adults can relate to, especially if they are going through a difficult time or just having a bad day. I love this book, Shaun Tan has created a masterpiece.

I will admit to being a little sceptical before reading this book, a quick look through Amazon will reveal there are no shortage of books that promise to improve your riding and your horses way of going using all kinds of techniques and tactics, many of which succeed only in leaving the reader more confused than they were before.
However, I found the information contained within works, and more to the point, is easy to pick up. It doesn't involve isolating endless muscle groups or bombard you with visualisations. Heather Moffet promotes sympathy for your horse, mixes modern thought with classical techniques, and explains clearly what to do and the reason why.
