This is a great book. Whether you're aggressive, passive or even mildly assertive, it's always good to check-in your approach to conflict and tricky situations, if only to log just how much you end up losing out trying to people-please.

The exercises are really good, the text is clear and precise and I think it does help you, if only in realising how much you're not giving and not getting in return.

Flawless Consulting: A Guide to Getting Your Exper&hellip by Peter Block
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
A very sincerely written guide to improving your work as a consultant. Some of it is a bit flabby in parts, but you get used to skim reading the verbiage. One thing I thought this book lacked was guidance on how to set oneself up as a consultant in the first place - materials, ideas on marketing etc. It's definitely pitched at people who already are set up, and as such, I found the by-line 'A Guide to Getting Your Expertise Used' ambiguous to say the least.

If you're a consultant who wants to hear ideas about how to meet resistance, how to keep your relationships with your clients healthy, how to reinforce advice etc then this is the book for you.
