Having acquired the recent Toronto album, I was expecting a more layed back, self indulgent affair......How wrong could I be, afterclub certainly does not mean after thought.
Its quite clear that Sharam wears the shiny trousers in this duo, as he manages to blend deep dark funky stuff with bite sized chunks of credible pop/dance.
Somehow this album feels more focussed and clinical than Toronto, almost as if he's proving to himself that he's still got it.
I can honestly say there are no real fillers on this, a solid selection is held together by the stand out tracks from Luke Wan, and Watkins, (as I had these on repeat) it took me over 2 hrs to finish the CD.
