3.0 out of 5 stars Its no Dark Angel, 24 Nov 2010
Having read Dark Angel by the same author I wanted to get everything she had written but I fear I may have been too hasty. This is the story of 3 sisters and uses time-slip device as a way of telling us what happened to them. Unfortunately the answer is not much. The first part of the book is narrated by the youngest sister called Maisie and not much happens. Then we move on to other voices and find out that Maisie suffers from some kind of mental health issue (autism perhaps?) and one day she falls or jumps out of a window. I suppose when your first impression of an author is so good your expectations are going to be set so high that you run the risk of being disappointed and unfortunately I was.

I wont go in to the story as many other reviewers have already done that. I liked the family and cared about the characters I just didnt find the ghost/evil spirit (whatever it was) that scary. The book started off very promising and I envisaged reading late in to the night but (and I hope I dont give too much away) when it got to the chapter with the religious preachers I… Read more
