I should, perhaps, admit firstly that I know the author of this book, in the sense that he once stayed as a guest in my house while on one of his many tours of Europe. That being so, I know him much more for his philosophical endeavours and this is my first foray into his growing body of published fiction.
This novella reminds me very much of the work of J. K. Rowling, in that while it is about children it does not read like a child's story, for all that it claims to be a fairy tale.
