I've recently received a copy of the Canoe & Kayak Map of Great Britain.

I was a little unsure how easy it would be to use the map, as there is simply so much information to try to get across. However, my fears were totally unfounded, as the Map is extremely clear and simple to use.

Each river or waterway is "graded" by use of a simple colour system, so you can instantly see what sort of paddling to expect when you go there. The joy of this is that by not trying to offer up too much detail, you get an overview of the whole country and its amazing how many rivers there are out there for paddlers. Wye Canoe?: Canoeist Guide to the River Wye (Envir&hellip by Environment Agency Wales

A very useful guide with loads of information. On first glance it seems slim for the price, but that's because its virtually indestructible. Mine spent 2 days very wet & is none the worse for wear. The maps are a little faint, but the information given is spot on & comprehensive.
What this guide isn't, is a pictorial, inspirational guide to the river. Its an informative "reference" which is invaluable on the river, but keeps the information only to that you need to know.
