4.0 out of 5 stars Plug so you can go, 15 Nov 2011
Wasn't immediately taken by this before purchase - rather expensive, I thought. The battery life on the Kindle means that plugging it into the computer between most (shorter) trips should be OK. Proved very useful on my wife's recent 12-day trip though so it was the right decision. Can't give it 5* because of the price but it was the right decision to buy one rather than risk no Kindle availability.

Being able to just pick it up and put it down without bothering to… Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Socks for a marathon, 12 Oct 2011
For most of my 35 or so running years, I've bought and used whatever was on offer in sports shops, supermarkets, etc. In other words, cheap stuff. I've had few problems down the years running mostly less than 10 miles at a time but felt I needed to think more about socks with marathons in mind.

I've also bought 1000 Mile products this year but decided to also try these More Mile socks. I wondered if they'd be as good despite being less pricy. The test event was the Loch Ness marathon on 2 October and the 30-40 mile per week training leading up to it. I bought several pairs so I could rotate and always have at least one dry clean pair available.

So far, the experiment… Read more
